Crossfit FAQ

Q: What is CrossFit?
A: CrossFit is a conditioning and strength program based on widely varied, functional movement performed at high intensity. The result: your body is physically prepared to meet life’s demands. Everything from the simple day-to-day grind of carrying groceries and running after the bus to the physical demands of Law Enforcement, Fire Protection,  First Responder  and even professional athletes.

Q: Is CrossFit training right for me?
A: At Imperial Training we see people of all ages, sizes, shapes and conditions.  There is no reason to be intimidated.  We can build a program that works for you.

Q: What if I am completely out of shape?
A: If you don’t start now, tomorrow you will still be completely out of shape.  CrossFit will get you into shape faster than any other workout.

Q: Is CrossFit Safe?
A: Yes, all of our CrossFit instructors are CrossFit-certified.   Our methods teach proper technique to minimize your chance of injury.

Q: Why should I workout at Imperial CrossFit?
A: CrossFit training is what we specialize in.  Our workouts are fun and deliver results.

Q: What if I am already in great shape?
A: CrossFit workouts scale to your abilities.  If you are in great shape, we can make you even better.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: See our rates pages here

Q: Why not just join the 24hr gym?
A: Go ahead and we wish you luck. Gyms that are focused on CrossFit have a completely different look and feel. We don’t have a bunch of folks working out alone, listening to music, checking themselves out in the mirror, or checking out the other members. Our members are interacting with and encouraging each other.

Q: How is CrossFit different than P90X?
A: P90X only last 90 days and is repetitive (boring).  CrossFit last a lifetime.  P90X teaches you from videos.  CrossFit teaches you from certified coaches.  CrossFit creates functional results through constantly varied functional movements practiced at high intensity, P90X practices isolated movements that have little functional value and create little neuroendocrine response.

Q: I still have questions. How can I contact you?
